Pros & Cons
Pros
- Ofcom licence-exempt under 2024 repeater rules — no application or fee needed.
- True 65 dB gain with 17 dBm output, hitting the regulatory ceiling safely.
- Works across all UK carriers and 20+ MVNOs on Band 20 rural coverage.
- Low noise figure ≤5 dB keeps voice calls clear, not just bars.
- 100 m² coverage suits flats, cottages and small home-offices.
- 365-day money-back guarantee and lifetime UK-based support.
- Upgradable ecosystem: 15 m cable, Yagi antenna, 18 kA surge protector.
- UKCA/CE/RoHS certified — safe for rental and listed-property installs.
Cons
- Single-band (Band 20 only) — does not amplify EE Band 3 (1800 MHz) or 5G.
- Requires usable outdoor signal (at least 1–2 bars) — zero-bar locations won't work.
- 100 m² ceiling — insufficient for large homes, offices or commercial buildings.
- No LCD display or app — tuning is manual via signal meter on phone.
- Standard UK delivery is slow: 10–15 working days transit.
- 5 m stock cable may be too short for upstairs-to-roof installs (15 m costs +£30.99).
- External antenna mounting requires landlord permission in rented properties.
How It Works — 3 Steps
Outdoor Capture
The omni-directional 5 dBi antenna mounted on roof/eaves captures the weak Band 20 800 MHz signal from the nearest mast.
Amplification
The C100 main unit boosts the signal up to 65 dB on both uplink and downlink, automatically balancing power to stay within Ofcom limits.
Indoor Re-Broadcast
The 3 dBi whip antenna rebroadcasts the clean 4G LTE signal across up to 100 m², serving 10+ connected devices at once.
Installation — 6 Steps, ~10–15 Minutes
- Find the best outdoor spot: walk around the house with your phone, note where Band 20 signal is strongest (use a field-test / engineering mode).
- Mount the outdoor antenna: fix the omni antenna to roof, chimney or eaves with the bracket supplied, pointing toward the nearest mast.
- Run the 5 m coax indoors through a window seal, loft or drilled wall entry (upgrade to 15 m if needed).
- Place the C100 unit centrally in the area you want covered — at least 3–5 m away from the outdoor antenna to avoid oscillation.
- Connect the indoor whip antenna upright, away from microwave, Wi-Fi router and metal objects.
- Plug in the 12 V/1 A adapter, wait 60 s, and verify bars improve on EE/O2/Vodafone/Three phones in the covered zone.

FAQ — Common UK Buyer Questions
1. Is the Boost4U C100 legal to use in the UK under Ofcom rules?
Yes. The C100 meets Ofcom's 2024 licence-exempt repeater technical specifications: maximum output power is capped at 17 dBm, it operates on Band 20 (800 MHz), and it is UKCA / CE / RoHS certified. No Ofcom licence, registration or fee is required. Using a non-compliant amplifier that exceeds 17 dBm or transmits on restricted bands is illegal in the UK and can interrupt masts.
2. How do I confirm my phone uses Band 20 (800 MHz)?
On Android, install a free cell-info app (e.g. Cellular-Z or Network Cell Info Lite) and look for "EARFCN" / "Band 20" / "800 MHz" in the serving-cell details. On iPhone, dial *3001#12345#* to open Field Test, then check the frequency band under Serving Cell. In rural UK, Band 20 800 MHz is the most common 4G band because it travels farthest and penetrates walls best.
3. Will the C100 work if I currently have zero bars outside?
No. The booster amplifies only what the outdoor antenna can already capture. If there is literally zero signal outside the house (fewer than −120 dBm), the C100 cannot create signal from nothing. You need at least 1–2 usable bars outdoors (roughly −105 to −115 dBm) for the system to deliver a strong indoor result. If you are truly off-grid, a directional Yagi pointed at the nearest mast 5–10 km away is the next step.
4. Does the C100 support 5G?
No. The C100 is a dedicated Band 20 (800 MHz) 4G LTE booster. It does not amplify 5G (n78 / 3.5 GHz, n28 / 700 MHz) or other 4G bands such as EE Band 3 (1800 MHz), Vodafone Band 1 (2100 MHz) or Three Band 1/3. If you specifically need EE Band 3 1800 MHz, look at our dual/tri-band boosters instead.
5. How long does installation take?
Most users finish in 10–15 minutes: mount the outdoor antenna, run the 5 m cable indoors, place the booster unit and whip antenna at least 3–5 m apart, then plug in the 12 V adapter. Drilling through an external wall or fitting the optional 15 m cable adds another 20–30 minutes. No specialist tools or engineer visit are required.
6. How many phones can use it at the same time?
The C100 supports up to 10+ devices simultaneously. Because it amplifies the native cellular band (not a Wi-Fi hotspot), every phone, tablet, 4G router or IoT device on EE, O2, Vodafone or Three within the 100 m² coverage zone automatically benefits — no pairing or login needed.
7. What is the returns and refund policy?
You get a 365-day money-back guarantee. If the C100 does not improve your signal, return it by mail for a full refund — return shipping is free within the UK. You also get lifetime UK-based technical support by email and chat.
8. How long does delivery take?
UK delivery is free. Order handling takes 1–2 working days, and transit takes 10–15 working days to most UK postcodes (rural Scottish Highlands and NI may take a little longer). A tracked shipping email is sent once the parcel leaves our warehouse.
9. How far can the outdoor antenna be from the indoor unit?
The C100 ships with a 5 m low-loss coax. For most terraced or semi-detached homes that is enough to reach a roof/eaves mount from a hallway or loft. If you need to run the cable further (e.g. detached garage to house), add the 15 m low-loss cable upgrade (+£30.99). We do not recommend exceeding 20 m without a dedicated repeater-grade cable.
10. I'm an EE customer — why does this not cover my Band 3 (1800 MHz) signal?
The C100 is tuned to Band 20 (800 MHz), EE's rural and in-building coverage band. In towns and cities EE also broadcasts on Band 3 (1800 MHz), which the C100 does not amplify. If you are in a city-centre flat and your phone locks onto Band 3, the C100 will not help — you would need an EE Band 3 / 1800 MHz booster instead. Check your serving band with the field-test method in FAQ #2 before ordering.

Custom your solution
Expandable coverage by adding indoor antenna if the outside signal is strong.

How It Works

1
The powerful antenna reaches out to access a voice and 3G, 4G, and LTE data signal, and delivers it to the booster
2
The booster receives the signal, amplifies it, and serves as a relay between your phone and the nearest cell tower.
3
Your devices get increased cell reception, and calls and data are fed through the booster back to the network.
Get stronger signal
Normal Cell Coverage
Dropped calls and slow data are generally caused by three things: distance from a cell tower, building materials in your home or office, or obstruction from tall objects such as trees, topography, and buildings.
Signal Coverage with our booster
Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.Installation
- Connect the indoor antenna to the MS port.
- Connect the outdoor antenna to the BS Port.
- Install the outdoor antenna and keep a minimum vertical distance of 10 meters from the indoor antenna.
- Point the outdoor antenna to the direction where you know there is possibly a higher signal strength from the base station.
- Power on the booster and check the signal strength.
- Adjust the outdoor antenna until you get the best signal strength.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
DO NOT POWER ON THE DEVICE UNTIL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THIS SETUP.
