Pros & Cons — Honest Review
Pros
- The enterprise-flagship D-series booster tuned for EE Band 3 (1800 MHz) — fixes dropped 2G calls AND slow 4G data across a whole warehouse, hotel or large house in one unit.
- 85 dB max gain with a ≤2 dB noise figure and AGC pushes a weak rural EE signal up to full strength across 2000 m².
- ≤27 dBm output power at the Ofcom 1800 MHz limit — the maximum legal boost level for a licence-exempt UK amplifier.
- 14 dBi Yagi outdoor antenna, aimed at the nearest EE mast on the roof or chimney, pulls signal from much farther base stations than lower-gain commercial models.
- 12 dBi panel directional indoor antenna focuses signal toward your warehouse floor, hotel corridor, office floor or living area — the highest-gain indoor panel in the D-series for large open space.
- 2000 m² coverage suits a large warehouse, hotel, 6+ bedroom country house, multi-floor office or small commercial building.
- Up to 200 simultaneous users — a whole warehouse shift, hotel staff and guest phones, card machines and scanners all get better signal at once.
- Lifts weak rural 4G from roughly 0.5–2 Mbps to 10–30 Mbps for EFTPOS, warehouse scanners, video calls, booking systems and guest Wi-Fi calling.
- Works with EE, BT Mobile, ASDA Mobile and Virgin Mobile — any EE-billed SIM, no new contract needed.
- Dual-cable design: 10 m outdoor coax plus 5 m indoor coax for cleaner routing between donor and service antennas across a large premises.
- Expandable: add extra panel antennas (~100–150 m² each, sold separately with a splitter) for hotel wings, warehouse zones, meeting rooms or first-floor offices.
- Ofcom licence-exempt, UKCA / CE certified — fully legal to install and run in the UK.
- 365-day money-back guarantee, lifetime UK technical support and free UK delivery.
Cons
- At £545.16 it is the enterprise flagship price point of the D-series, not a budget home booster.
- EE / BT / ASDA / Virgin only — it will not help O2 or Vodafone customers (different frequencies).
- Single Band 3 (1800 MHz) only — it does not boost EE's other bands such as Band 7 (2600 MHz) or Band 28 (700 MHz), and it does not support 5G.
- 2000 m² is the coverage ceiling — not enough for very large industrial sites, multi-building campuses or large distribution centres without extra antennas.
- Needs at least 1–2 bars of outdoor EE Band 3 signal; it cannot create signal from zero bars.
- DIY install takes 1–2 hours and needs a drill, masonry bit, ladder, cable ties and spanner — more involved than a basic plug-in unit.
- Roof or chimney mounting of the 14 dBi Yagi is recommended for a professional installer (£80–150) rather than a DIY ladder job on a tall building.
- Outdoor and indoor antennas need ≥10 m vertical separation — this can be a challenge in apartments, single-storey warehouses or low-rise buildings.
- Final 4G speed depends on the EE mast's own capacity and backhaul — a congested mast limits results.
- Three, iD, SMARTY, Plusnet and Freedom Pop users get 4G data only — no 2G voice call boost on Band 3.
- Extra panel antennas, splitters and cable upgrades are paid extras, not included in the box.
- Standard free delivery is 10–15 working days (after 1–2 days order handling), not next-day.
- Does not support 5G — if you need 5G signal boost you will need a different band.
- Power consumption ≤35 W is higher than entry-level D-series home models — expect a small continuous running cost.
3-Step DIY Installation
Mount the Yagi Outside
Fix the 14 dBi Yagi to the roof, chimney or an exterior wall aimed at the nearest EE mast. Run the 10 m outdoor coax indoors through a drilled wall or window cable gland. For roof mounting on a warehouse, hotel or multi-floor building, use a professional installer.
Mount the Panel Inside
Fix the 12 dBi panel directional antenna on an interior wall or ceiling, aimed toward your main use area (warehouse floor, hotel corridor, office floor, living area), at least 10 m vertically below the Yagi to prevent oscillation. Run the 5 m indoor coax from the panel to the D2000 unit.
Plug in and Test
Connect the 240 V mains adapter. AGC locks on within a minute. Check EE bars and a speed test indoors — expect calls to hold and 4G to climb toward 10–30 Mbps across the whole 2000 m² space, for up to 200 active users.

Frequently Asked Questions — Real UK EE Enterprise Signal Problems
Will the D2000 fix both EE voice calls AND slow 4G across a 2000 m² warehouse, hotel or 6+ bedroom house?
Yes — that is exactly what it is built for. Unlike voice-only call boosters, the D2000 boosts Band 3 (1800 MHz), which EE uses for both 2G voice calls and 4G LTE data. The same weak outdoor signal that causes dropped warehouse staff calls also throttles your WMS scanners, hotel booking systems and guest Wi-Fi. The 85 dB gain improves both at once across 2000 m², so calls stop cutting out and scanners, card machines, video calls and browsing get faster on every floor and across every zone of your premises.
I run a busy hotel or warehouse — can up to 200 staff, guests and scanners actually use the D2000 at the same time?
The D2000 is rated for up to 200 simultaneous users — phones, tablets, scanners, card machines and booking devices all connecting at once on voice calls or 4G data. In practice, a hotel with 30 staff and 80 guests, or a warehouse with 40 shift workers and scanners, will never approach the limit, which is the point: the enterprise 85 dB gain, ≤27 dBm output and 14 dBi Yagi are engineered so the unit does not saturate when many devices are active at once. Expect stable calls and data for every device; beyond 200 active users, plan a second unit.
What makes the D2000 the enterprise flagship over the smaller D1000 commercial model — is the upgrade worth it for 2000 m²?
The D2000 is the enterprise-flagship D-series model: it covers 2000 m² versus the D1000's 1000 m², delivers 85 dB gain versus 80 dB, has a better ≤2 dB noise figure versus ≤2.5 dB, a 14 dBi Yagi outdoor antenna versus 12 dBi, a 12 dBi panel directional indoor antenna versus the D1000's 10 dBi, and supports up to 200 users versus 100. If you run a warehouse, hotel, multi-floor office or have a 6+ bedroom country house approaching 2000 m², the D2000 is the right fit; for a single-floor pub, restaurant, shop or 5–6 bedroom house around 1000 m², the smaller D1000 commercial model is adequate.
My business is on Virgin Mobile, BT Mobile business or ASDA Mobile — will the D2000 boost our enterprise SIMs across a large site?
Yes. Virgin Mobile switched its UK service to EE's infrastructure from 2024, so Virgin business SIMs now ride the same Band 3 (1800 MHz) voice and 4G frequencies as EE. BT Mobile and ASDA Mobile have always used EE's network. The D2000 amplifies that radio wave directly — just use your existing business SIMs as normal, no new EE contract required. Legacy Orange, T-Mobile and The People's Operator (TPO) SIMs work the same way, whether you are running a warehouse, hotel or multi-floor office.
We use Three business, iD, SMARTY, Plusnet or Freedom Pop in our warehouse — will our calls work on the D2000 or only 4G data?
Your 4G data will improve, but your 2G voice calls will not be boosted. The D2000 amplifies Band 3 (1800 MHz), which Three uses for 4G LTE but not for 2G GSM voice (Three relies on 3G/4G calling and VoLTE). So Three, iD, SMARTY, Plusnet and Freedom Pop warehouse customers get faster 4G data for scanners, EFTPOS and browsing, but do not get a traditional 2G voice-call boost. If voice reliability is your main problem and you are on Three, check whether VoLTE / Wi-Fi Calling is already enabled on your handsets.
We have a 6+ bedroom country house or manor — do we really need the 2000 m² enterprise D2000 rather than the D1000 commercial?
It depends on the actual floor area. If your home is around 1000 m² or less with a single main living area, the smaller D1000 commercial model will likely do. If you have a 6+ bedroom detached house, manor house, annex, converted barn, multiple reception rooms, a home office outbuilding or large open-plan space approaching 2000 m², the D2000's extra 85 dB gain, 14 dBi Yagi and 12 dBi panel give headroom for whole-house coverage and more simultaneous users across more floors. When in doubt, measure the floor area — the 2000 m² rating is the safe ceiling for large rural and country homes.
The 10 m vertical antenna separation — how do I achieve that in a multi-floor warehouse or hotel?
If the 12 dBi panel indoor antenna leaks the boosted signal straight back into the outdoor Yagi, the amplifier feeds itself a loop and goes into self-oscillation — that causes noise, crackle and dropped calls, and can disrupt the mast. Keep the two antennas at least 10 m apart vertically: for a multi-floor hotel, mount the Yagi on the roof and the panel antenna on a ground-floor or first-floor corridor wall; for a warehouse, put the Yagi on the roof ridge and the panel antenna on a wall at ground level, as far apart vertically as the building allows. The 10 m outdoor coax, 5 m indoor coax and AGC are designed around this separation rule.
Can I add extra panel antennas for a hotel wing, warehouse zone, meeting room or first-floor office?
Yes. The D2000 supports additional indoor panel antennas, each covering roughly 100–150 m². You would fit a splitter at the booster unit and run extra coax to each panel antenna on a wall or ceiling — for example one panel in the main warehouse, a second in a hotel corridor wing, a third in a first-floor office block. Each extra antenna and the splitter are sold separately. This is the right route when your premises start at 2000 m² but have an attached annexe, garden room, conservatory, stockroom or upstairs floor that needs its own focused signal.
How much outdoor EE Band 3 signal do we need before ordering for a rural warehouse or hotel?
At least 1–2 bars of outdoor EE signal near where the Yagi will sit. The D2000 amplifies an existing weak donor signal — it cannot create signal from nothing. Before buying, check EE signal on your phone outside the premises, near the roof or chimney mounting point. If you have at least 1–2 bars of Band 3 signal outdoors, the booster can push a full-strength signal inside across 2000 m². If you show zero bars and emergency-only outside, no Ofcom-legal booster at this price will help, and you should contact EE about a 'Personal Cell Spot' or business coverage solution first.
What is the return policy, delivery time and install cost for an enterprise business order?
You are covered by a 365-day money-back guarantee, plus lifetime UK technical support. If the D2000 does not improve your EE calls or 4G after a proper install (correct Yagi aim, 1–2 bars outdoors, ≥10 m antenna separation), contact support and return it by mail for a free return and refund. Free UK delivery takes 10–15 working days after 1–2 days order handling, so order early if you have a hotel launch, warehouse fit-out or refurbishment deadline. DIY install takes 1–2 hours; roof or chimney mounting is best done by a local aerial / satellite installer for roughly £80–150.

Expandable coverage by adding indoor antenna if the outside signal is strong.

How It Works

1
The powerful antenna reaches out to access a voice and 3G, 4G, and LTE data signal, and delivers it to the booster
2
The booster receives the signal, amplifies it, and serves as a relay between your phone and the nearest cell tower.
3
Your devices get increased cell reception, and calls and data are fed through the booster back to the network.
Get stronger signal
Normal Cell Coverage
Dropped calls and slow data are generally caused by three things: distance from a cell tower, building materials in your home or office, or obstruction from tall objects such as trees, topography, and buildings.
Signal Coverage with our booster
Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.Installation
- Connect the indoor antenna to the MS port.
- Connect the outdoor antenna to the BS Port.
- Install the outdoor antenna and keep a minimum vertical distance of 10 meters from the indoor antenna.
- Point the outdoor antenna to the direction where you know there is possibly a higher signal strength from the base station.
- Power on the booster and check the signal strength.
- Adjust the outdoor antenna until you get the best signal strength.
