UK Carrier & MVNO Compatibility (Band 1 2100 MHz 3G UMTS)
The W1000 boosts the physical Band 1 (2100 MHz) radio wave that all four UK networks still use for 3G UMTS voice and data. Any SIM that rides on EE, O2, Vodafone or Three 3G infrastructure works — insert your existing SIM, no new contract. The W1000 is 3G-only; it does not boost 4G LTE or 5G on any network. Note: this is the W1000 all-network 3G commercial unit — it is not the D1000, which is a separate Band 3 1800 MHz EE-only voice + 4G product that also costs £396.00.

Pros & Cons — Honest Review
Pros
- The commercial-grade Boost4U all-network 3G booster on Band 1 (2100 MHz) that improves 3G calls and data for EE, O2, Vodafone and Three at the same time — one box for a mixed-operator office, shop, bar, restaurant or warehouse.
- 80 dB max gain with ≤2.5 dB noise figure and ≤27 dBm output — the highest gain and lowest noise floor in the W series commercial line — pushes a weak rural 3G signal up to full strength across 1000 m².
- 8 dBi Yagi outdoor antenna, aimed at the nearest 3G mast at 3–5 m, pulls signal from distant base stations.
- 10 dBi panel directional indoor antenna — a step up from the W500's 8 dBi panel — gives stronger, more even coverage across large commercial floors and mezzanines.
- 1000 m² coverage suits a large open-plan office, high-street shop, pub, bar, restaurant, warehouse or mixed commercial building.
- Up to 100 simultaneous users — the whole office floor, shop tills, bar staff, restaurant card machines, warehouse handsets and delivery riders on different networks all get better 3G at once.
- Dual-cable setup: 10 m outdoor coax from the Yagi plus 5 m indoor coax to the panel antenna — a commercial-grade configuration.
- Lifts weak rural 3G data from roughly 1–5 Mbps to 10–30 Mbps for calls, messaging, maps, card payments and basic browsing.
- Works with every UK MVNO — giffgaff, Sky, Tesco, iD, SMARTY, Lebara, Lycamobile, Talkmobile, Virgin Mobile and more — no new contract needed.
- Ofcom licence-exempt, UKCA / CE certified — fully legal to install and run in the UK for commercial premises.
- 365-day money-back guarantee, lifetime UK technical support and free UK delivery.
Cons
- At £396.00 it is a commercial-grade investment — £131.00 more than the 500 m² W500, and not a budget booster.
- 3G UMTS only — it will not boost 4G LTE or 5G data on any network.
- Single Band 1 (2100 MHz) only — it does not boost other 3G bands or any 4G bands.
- 1000 m² is the ceiling — not enough for very large estates, multi-storey office blocks, factories or premises over 1000 m².
- Needs at least 1–2 bars of outdoor Band 1 3G signal; it cannot create signal from zero bars.
- DIY install needs a drill, screwdriver, spanner and ladder — mounting the Yagi 3–5 m up on a commercial building is real work, 30–60 minutes.
- Outdoor and indoor antennas need ≥10 m vertical separation or the unit oscillates and self-interferes.
- Final 3G speed depends on the mast's own capacity and backhaul — a congested urban mast limits results.
- O2 and Vodafone have limited Band 1 3G coverage in some rural areas; check outdoor 3G signal on your host network before ordering.
- Standard UK delivery is 10–15 working days, not next-day or two-day — plan ahead for refurbishments or busy trading periods.
- The 20 m cable, high-gain antenna and surge protector are paid upgrades, not included.
- Commercial power draw is ≤25 W and the unit weighs about 900 g — heavier and thirstier than home-grade W-series units.
3-Step DIY Installation
Mount the Yagi Outside
Fix the 8 dBi Yagi to an exterior wall, pole or chimney 3–5 m high, aimed at the nearest Band 1 3G mast. Run the 10 m outdoor coax indoors through a drilled window or wall cable gland.
Place the Panel Antenna
Mount the 10 dBi panel directional antenna inside your commercial building, at least 10 m vertically below the Yagi to prevent oscillation, angled toward the trading floor, warehouse or office you need covered. Connect the 5 m indoor coax from the W1000 unit to the panel.
Plug in and Test
Connect the 240 V mains adapter. AGC locks on within a minute. Check 3G bars and a speed test indoors — expect calls to hold and 3G data to climb toward 10–30 Mbps on EE, O2, Vodafone or Three across up to 100 users.
Built for Large UK Commercial Premises
Large Open-Plan Office
Up to 100 staff phones, meeting-room handsets and Wi-Fi-calling mobiles on EE, O2, Vodafone and Three all improve at once across 1000 m².
Shop & Department Store
Tills, booking tablets, contactless card machines and up to 100 staff/customer handsets on different networks stay connected across the trading floor.
Bar, Pub & Restaurant
Contactless payments, work calls and messaging in trading areas with thick walls killing Band 1 3G across 1000 m² — upstairs, bar floor and cellar.
Warehouse & Industrial Unit
Forklift handsets, scanner PDAs, staff mobiles and office desks at the front of a 1000 m² rural unit where 3G barely reaches through corrugated steel.
Frequently Asked Questions — Real UK Commercial All-Network 3G Problems
Why should I choose the W1000 over the smaller W500 — what is the £131.00 upgrade worth for a commercial building?
The W1000 is the W-series commercial-grade unit. It raises max gain from 75 dB to 80 dB, cuts the noise figure from ≤3 dB to ≤2.5 dB, increases coverage from 500 m² to 1000 m², raises simultaneous users from 50 to 100, and upgrades the indoor antenna from an 8 dBi panel to a 10 dBi panel. Power draw rises to ≤25 W and the unit weighs about 900 g to handle the larger load. If your premises are a large office, shop, bar, pub, restaurant, warehouse or commercial building over 500 m², the W1000 is the right size. If you have a 4–5 bedroom home, small office or single-floor shop up to 500 m², the smaller W500 at its lower price point is the value choice.
Will the W1000 improve 3G signal for EE, O2, Vodafone AND Three across a 1000 m² commercial building?
Yes — that is exactly what it is built for. Band 1 (2100 MHz) is the 3G UMTS frequency all four UK networks share. The W1000 amplifies that single radio wave, so any phone on EE, O2, Vodafone or Three — and any MVNO on their networks — gets a stronger 3G signal inside. It does not matter that your office staff are on EE, your shop customers are on O2, your bar tills are on Vodafone and your delivery riders are on Three; one unit improves 3G for all of them at once across the 1000 m² footprint, supporting up to 100 users simultaneously.
Is the W1000 the same as the D1000 that also costs £396.00?
No — they are completely different products at the same price point. The W1000 boosts Band 1 (2100 MHz) 3G UMTS for EE, O2, Vodafone and Three (all networks, 3G calls + 3G data). The D1000 boosts Band 3 (1800 MHz) and is an EE-only voice + 4G unit for EE, BT, ASDA and Virgin customers. If you have a mixed-operator office, shop, bar or warehouse, or need 3G across all four networks, choose the W1000. If you are EE-only and need voice plus 4G data, choose the D1000. Do not buy the wrong one based on price alone.
Does the W1000 boost 4G or 5G data, or only 3G?
The W1000 is a Band 1 (2100 MHz) 3G UMTS booster only. It improves 3G voice calls and 3G data. It does not boost 4G LTE or 5G NR on any band, on any network. If your main commercial problem is slow 4G data, you need a different product — a Band 3 EE voice + 4G unit (D series) or a Band 20 O2/Vodafone 4G unit (C series). If your problem is dropped 3G calls and weak 3G data across multiple networks in a large office, shop, bar, restaurant or warehouse, the W1000 is the right fit.
How much faster will my commercial 3G data actually get after installation?
Typically it moves from around 1–5 Mbps with a weak signal up to about 10–30 Mbps with a good boosted signal. Treat that as a guide, not a guarantee: the booster improves the radio link between your phones and the mast, but your final speed is also set by how busy the mast is and its backhaul. A quiet rural 3G mast will give better results than a congested city-centre one. It is still 3G, so it is suited to calls, messaging, maps, card payments, scanner PDAs and basic browsing — not 4K streaming or large file downloads.
Do I really need at least 1–2 bars of 3G signal outside my commercial building?
Yes. The W1000 amplifies an existing weak donor signal — it cannot create signal from nothing. Before buying, check Band 1 3G signal on your phone outside, near where the Yagi will sit (often the car park, loading bay or flat roof of a commercial building). If you have at least 1–2 bars of 3G outdoors, the booster can push a full-strength signal inside across 1000 m². If you show zero bars and emergency-only outside, no Ofcom-legal booster at this price will help. Also note O2 and Vodafone have limited Band 1 3G coverage in some rural areas — check the outdoor signal on the network you actually rely on for tills or staff.
Why does the W1000 include both a 10 m outdoor and a 5 m indoor cable — is that enough for a 1000 m² unit?
The dual-cable setup is a commercial configuration. The 10 m outdoor coax runs from the Yagi antenna on the exterior wall or chimney down to the booster unit located inside (typically a stockroom, cupboard or wiring closet). The 5 m indoor coax then runs from the booster unit to the 10 dBi panel antenna positioned where you need coverage — above the bar, on an office column or in the warehouse aisle. This separates the donor and server paths cleanly and gives enough cable length for a typical single-floor commercial unit with a small mezzanine. If your building is deep or the wiring closet is far from where you need coverage, the 20 m cable upgrade is worth adding at checkout.
Can 100 people really use the W1000 at the same time in a bar, restaurant, office or warehouse?
The W1000 is rated for up to 100 simultaneous 3G users, which is what makes it the commercial W-series unit. In a busy pub, bar, restaurant, open-plan office or warehouse, staff handsets, contactless card machines, booking tablets, customer phones, delivery drivers' mobiles and forklift scanner PDAs all share the same Band 1 3G radio path. The 80 dB gain and ≤27 dBm output are sized to carry that load across 1000 m². For a typical 40–60 cover restaurant, 30–50 person office or 20–30 staff warehouse, this is ample headroom. It is not, however, designed for a 500-person conference centre, multi-storey hotel or large factory floor — those need a proper DAS distributed antenna system.
Will 1000 m² cover my whole shop, bar, restaurant, warehouse or commercial building?
Yes, for a typical single-floor commercial unit up to 1000 m² (about 10,764 ft²) — a high-street shop, a village pub with restaurant kitchen, a small open-plan office, a light-industrial warehouse or a mixed commercial building across two modest floors. It is not designed for very large estates over 1000 m², multi-storey office blocks, castles, country houses or big factory floors — those need a higher-coverage enterprise unit or DAS. For a standard 1000 m² commercial property, expect good 3G signal in most areas once the 10 dBi panel antenna is aimed centrally.
What if it does not work for my commercial building — what is the return policy?
You are covered by a 365-day money-back guarantee, plus lifetime UK technical support. If the W1000 does not improve your 3G calls or data after a proper install (correct Yagi aim, 1–2 bars outdoors, ≥10 m antenna separation), contact support and you can return it by mail for a free return and refund. Free UK delivery takes 10–15 working days after 1–2 days order handling, so order early if you have an urgent deadline like a shop refurbishment, busy trade period or warehouse move-in.

Custom your solution
Expandable coverage by adding indoor antenna if the outside signal is strong.
How It Works

1
The powerful antenna reaches out to access a voice and 3G, 4G, and LTE data signal, and delivers it to the booster
2
The booster receives the signal, amplifies it, and serves as a relay between your phone and the nearest cell tower.
3
Your devices get increased cell reception, and calls and data are fed through the booster back to the network.
Get stronger signal
Normal Cell Coverage
Dropped calls and slow data are generally caused by three things: distance from a cell tower, building materials in your home or office, or obstruction from tall objects such as trees, topography, and buildings.
Signal Coverage with our booster
Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.Installation
- Connect the indoor antenna to the MS port.
- Connect the outdoor antenna to the BS Port.
- Install the outdoor antenna and keep a minimum vertical distance of 10 meters from the indoor antenna.
- Point the outdoor antenna to the direction where you know there is possibly a higher signal strength from the base station.
- Power on the booster and check the signal strength.
- Adjust the outdoor antenna until you get the best signal strength.
